In a few days time, on the vigil of Pentecost I will be flying to Jerusalem to visit a dear friend who is on sabbatical there. This will not be my first visit to this incredible city with its rich history that exudes from the very soil and stones that make it up. In September 2015 I went on a very thorough pilgrimage tour and knew I had to return one day. This time it will be a more leisurely pace so I can soak up the old city as well as the sun rays.

I will be visiting a number of holy sites and praying my way around Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives and this is a place for me to share some photos and spurious reflections in anticipation of a greater trip and pilgrimage in Italy later in the summer.
